Read the guidance on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/right-of-abode-roa\">right of abode (<abbr>ROA<\/abbr><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/right-of-abode-roa\">)<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u00a0to find out what you should do instead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jrka9Nt-nQo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" data-mce-fragment=\"1\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span class=\"text3\"> The Standard Visitor visa has replaced the:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Family Visitor visa, General Visitor visa, Child Visitor visa, Business Visitor visa, including visas for academics, doctors and dentists, Sports Visitor visa, Entertainer Visitor visa, Prospective Entrepreneur visa, Private Medical Treatment Visitor visa and Approved Destination Status (<abbr>ADS<\/abbr>) visa<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span class=\"text3\"> If you visit the UK on business:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can apply for a Standard Visitor visa if you want to visit the UK for business-related activities, eg:<br \/>\nyou\u2019re coming to the UK for a conference, meeting or training, you want to take part in a specific sports-related event, you\u2019re an artist, entertainer or musician and coming to the UK to perform, you\u2019re an academic and are doing research or accompanying students on a study abroad programme, you\u2019re a doctor or dentist and are coming to the UK to take a clinical attachment or observer post, you want to take the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (<abbr>PLAB<\/abbr>) test or sit the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (<abbr>OSCE<\/abbr>) and you want to get funding to start, take over, join or run a business in the UK<\/p>\n<p>Check the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/immigration-rules\/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-rules\">Visitor Rules<\/a>\u00a0to find the full list of business-related activities you can do with a Standard Visitor visa.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span class=\"text3\">What you can and can\u2019t do:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>take part in any of the business-related activities mentioned in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/immigration-rules\/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-rules\">Visitor Rules<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/permitted-study-when-visiting-the-uk\"> study for up to 30 days<\/a>, as long as it\u2019s not the main reason for your visit<\/li>\n<li>take part in an exchange programme or educational visit (if you\u2019re under 18)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/convert-civil-partnership\"> convert your civil partnership into a marriage<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can\u2019t:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>do paid or unpaid work<\/li>\n<li>live in the UK for long periods of time through frequent visits<\/li>\n<li>get\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/public-funds--2\">public funds<\/a><\/li>\n<li>marry or register a civil partnership, or give notice of marriage or civil partnership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/visit-guidance\"> Read the guidance<\/a>\u00a0for more information about what you can and can\u2019t do with a Standard Visitor visa.<\/p>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\">How long it will take<\/span><\/u><br \/>\nThe earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel.<\/p>\n<p>Example<br \/>\nYou can apply from 16 March if you plan to travel on 15 June.<\/p>\n<p>You should get a decision on your visa within 3 weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Check the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/visa-processing-times\">guide processing times<\/a>\u00a0to find out how long getting a visa might take in the country you\u2019re applying from.<\/p>\n<p>How long you can stay<br \/>\nYou can usually stay in the UK for up to 6 months.<\/p>\n<p>You might be able to stay for longer if:<\/p>\n<p>you\u2019re coming to the UK for private medical treatment &#8211; up to 11 months<br \/>\nyou\u2019re an academic on sabbatical and coming to the UK for research &#8211; you, your spouse or civil partner may be able to stay for up to 12 months<br \/>\nIf you\u2019re staying in the UK as an academic or to receive private medical treatment for longer than 6 months, you must apply for a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/biometric-residence-permits\"> biometric residence permit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You might be able to get a visit visa for up to 30 days if you\u2019re a visitor under the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/visit-guidance\">Approved Destination Status (<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/visit-guidance\"><abbr>ADS<\/abbr><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/visit-guidance\">) Agreement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\"> Long-term visit visas<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p>If you can prove you need to visit the UK regularly over a longer period, you can apply for a visa that lasts 2, 5 or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months on each visit.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/standard-visitor-visa\/if-youre-under-18\">under 18 years old when you apply<\/a>, your long-term visit visa will only be valid for up to 6 months after you turn 18.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Fees and Other Expenditures:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A Standard Visitor visa costs \u00a387.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/stvisapro.com\/images\/page_images\/uk-visitor-visa-event.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"628\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>2.\u00a0Eligibility:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You must always show that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you\u2019ll leave the UK at the end of your visit<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019re able to support yourself and any dependents for the duration of your trip<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019re able to pay for your return or onward journey and any other costs relating to your visit<\/li>\n<li>you have proof of any business or other activities you want to do in the UK, as allowed by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/immigration-rules\/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-rules\">Visitor <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/guidance\/immigration-rules\/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitor-rules\">Rules<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\">If you\u2019re applying for a long-term visit visa<\/span><\/u><br \/>\nYou must prove that:<\/p>\n<p>you have a frequent and ongoing need to come to the UK<br \/>\nthe reason why you need to come to the UK is unlikely to change while your visitor visa is valid<br \/>\nyou plan to leave the UK at the end of each visit<br \/>\nYou may be given a visa for a shorter period than requested if you don\u2019t do this. You won\u2019t get a refund of the application fee if you get a shorter visa or your application is refused.<br \/>\nYour visa may be cancelled and you may get a long-term ban on visiting if your travel history shows you\u2019re repeatedly living in the UK for extended periods.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re applying as an academic<\/p>\n<p>You can stay in the UK for 12 months if you\u2019re applying as an academic. You must prove you\u2019re highly qualified within your field of expertise, on sabbatical leave from your home institution and visiting to either:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>take part in a formal exchange with a UK counterpart<\/li>\n<li>carry out your own research<\/li>\n<li>take part in someone else\u2019s research, teaching or clinical practice &#8211; as long as this doesn\u2019t involve filling a permanent teaching post<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re applying to visit for private medical treatment<\/p>\n<p>You must prove that you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>have a medical condition that needs private consultation or treatment in the UK<\/li>\n<li>have made or paid for arrangements for consultations or treatment<\/li>\n<li>have enough money to pay for your treatment, support yourself without using public funds and pay for your return or onward journey<\/li>\n<li>will leave the UK once your treatment is completed, or when your visa expires<\/li>\n<li>are not a danger to public health if you\u2019re suffering from an infectious disease, eg leprosy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you\u2019re applying as an organ donor<\/p>\n<p>You can only visit the UK to donate organs to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a family member who you\u2019re genetically related to (eg your sibling or parent)<\/li>\n<li>someone you have a close personal relationship with (eg your spouse or friend)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You must prove that the person you\u2019re donating an organ to is legally allowed to be in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span class=\"text3\">3. Documents you must provide:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>When you apply you\u2019ll need to provide:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a current passport or other valid travel identification<\/li>\n<li>evidence that you can support yourself during your trip, eg bank statements or payslips from the last 6 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You need a page in your passport that\u2019s blank on both sides for your visa. Your passport must be valid for the whole of your stay in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also need to provide a certified translation of any documents that aren\u2019t in English or Welsh.<\/p>\n<p>Read the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/publications\/visitor-visa-guide-to-supporting-documents\">full list of supporting documents<\/a>\u00a0you can provide.<\/p>\n<p>You might need to provide additional documents if you\u2019re visiting the UK:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>for private medical treatment<\/li>\n<li>to apply as an organ donor<\/li>\n<li>as an academic on sabbatical and want to stay for 12 months<\/li>\n<li>as a prospective entrepreneur<\/li>\n<li>to take the Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board (<abbr>PLAB<\/abbr>) test or sit the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (<abbr>OSCE<\/abbr>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6><a id=\"non-refundable\"><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/stvisapro.com\/images\/check-list.jpg\" width=\"1200\" height=\"300\" \/><\/h6>\n<h6 id=\"section-2\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Documents Required for UK Visitor Visa from Pakistan \u2013 all visitors<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>This section provides guidance on the types of documents that you may want to provide with your application.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Standard Visitor visa costs \u00a387.<\/li>\n<li>previous travel documents\/passports, which show previous travel.<\/li>\n<li>financial documents showing that you have sufficient funds available. These must clearly show that you have access to the funds, such as:\n<ul>\n<li>bank statements<\/li>\n<li>building society book<\/li>\n<li>proof of earnings such as a letter from employer confirming employment details (start date of employment, salary, role, company contact details)<\/li>\n<li>where a third party (who is either in the UK or who will be legally in the UK at the time of your visit) is providing financial support to you e.g. a business, a friend or a relative, documents to show they have sufficient resources to support you in addition to themselves and any dependant family should be provided<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>confirmation of legal residence, if you are not a national of the country in which you are applying or your right to reside there is not included in your passport<\/li>\n<li>details of employment or studies where you have stated in your application that you are either employed or in full-time studies. This could include:\n<ul>\n<li>a letter from your employer on company headed paper, detailing your role, salary and length of employment<\/li>\n<li>a letter from your education provider, on headed paper, confirming your enrolment and leave of absence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>if self employed: business registration documents confirming the business owner\u2019s name and the date the business started trading<\/li>\n<li>business activities \u2013 where you are coming to the UK in order to undertake activities relating to your occupation\/employment outside the UK you should submit documents showing what you will be doing in the UK, including any letters from inviting organisations. For example:\n<ul>\n<li>any business activities, e.g. letter from your employer outlining the reason for your visit, who you will be meeting and details of any payment\/expenses<\/li>\n<li>for performances and entertainment visitors, whether you work in this area as a professional or amateur , and what and where you will be performing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>under 18s \u2013 we strongly recommend you submit the following information otherwise it may delay consideration of your application\n<ul>\n<li>a Birth Certificate or legal document (such as adoption papers) showing the relationship between you and your parent or guardian<\/li>\n<li>if travelling unaccompanied or with someone other than your parent or guardian you should provide:\n<ul>\n<li>a signed letter from your parent(s) confirming details of anyone accompanying you, and details of care and accommodation arranged in the UK<\/li>\n<li>a copy of your parent(s) or legal guardian\u2019s biographical page of their passport, which includes their signature and passport number if your parent(s) do not have a passport then you must provide another official document which bears their signature<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\">Where to send your documents<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be told where to send your documents\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/standard-visitor-visa\/apply\">when you apply<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Any original documents you submit as part of your application will be sent back to you.<\/p>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\">Other information you\u2019ll need<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll need to provide the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the dates you\u2019re planning to travel to the UK<\/li>\n<li>details of where you\u2019ll be staying during your visit<\/li>\n<li>how much you think your trip will cost<\/li>\n<li>your current home address and how long you\u2019ve lived there<\/li>\n<li>your parents\u2019 names and dates of birth<\/li>\n<li>how much you earn in a year<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You might also need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>details of your travel history for the past 10 years (as shown in your passport)<\/li>\n<li>your employer\u2019s address and telephone number<\/li>\n<li>your partner\u2019s name, date of birth, and passport number<\/li>\n<li>the name and address of anyone paying for your trip<\/li>\n<li>the name, address and passport number of any family members you have in the UK<\/li>\n<li>details of any criminal, civil or immigration offences you have committed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong><span class=\"text3\">4. If you&#8217;re under 18:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>You can apply for a standard visitor visa if you\u2019re under 18 and:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>you\u2019ve made suitable arrangements for your travel and stay in the UK<\/li>\n<li>you have consent from your parent or guardian to travel to the UK<\/li>\n<li>you\u2019re able to pay for your return or onward journey<\/li>\n<li>you have enough money to support yourself without working or getting help from public funds, or you have family and friends that can support you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\">Travelling alone<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p>You can travel to the UK without an adult (someone over the age of 18).<\/p>\n<p>Your parent or guardian will need to provide their:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>written consent for you to travel to the UK<\/li>\n<li>full contact details<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They\u2019ll also need to provide proof that you have somewhere suitable to live during your stay in the UK, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the name and date of birth of the person that you will be staying with<\/li>\n<li>an address where you will be living<\/li>\n<li>details of your relationship to the person who\u2019ll be looking after you<\/li>\n<li>consent in writing so they can look after you during your stay in the UK<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u><span class=\"text3\">Travelling with an adult<\/span><\/u><\/p>\n<p>When travelling to the UK with an adult (someone over the age of 18), you\u2019ll need to identify them in your visa application.<\/p>\n<p>If the person you\u2019re travelling with isn\u2019t your parent, you\u2019ll need to provide specific information about them in your application.<\/p>\n<p>Their name will appear on your visa, and you\u2019ll be refused entry to the UK if you arrive in the UK without them.<\/p>\n<p>You can identify up to 2 adults in your visa application, and your visa will only be valid if you travel with at least one of
