(with Examples)<\/span><\/h6>\n<p>The predicate is the part of a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammar-monster.com\/glossary\/sentences.htm\">sentence<\/a>\u00a0(or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammar-monster.com\/glossary\/clause.htm\">clause<\/a>) that tells us what the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammar-monster.com\/glossary\/subject.htm\">subject<\/a>\u00a0does or is.
