Japan Tourist Visa from Pakistan:

Japan TVV (Temporary Visitor Visa)  – For Short-term Business Affairs:
A visitor who wants to travel to Japan for the purpose of tourism will have to obtain a tourist visa before entering the country.
Japan tourist visa is a short term visa. This short term visa allows a visitor to visit Japan for the purpose of sightseeing, attending business meet or conference, participating in short term courses or visiting friends and relatives. This visa does not allow a visitor to undertake paid activities while in Japan.

Important Information:

  • Applicants are required to come to the embassy in person to submit their visa applications.
  • Applications with incomplete documents may not be accepted.
  • In the application form, no column should be left blank, and applicant must sign it by him/herself. Write in block letters in black ink.
  • Applicants who have the Certificate of Eligibility are requested to contact visa section for further information.
  • The embassy may request any other documents than listed above.
  • Visa applications should be submitted between 9:00 to 11:00 (Monday-to-Friday)
  • Passports are returned at 14:30 to 15:30 (between 13:30 to 14:30 during Ramdan).
  • Residents of Sind and Baluchistan have to apply for a visa at the Consulate General of Japan, Karachi.
  • Submission of required documents does not guarantee the issuance of Japanese entry visa.
  • Should a visa be refused, its reason will never be given. However, a visa application with all new documents can be submitted again after six months of refusal.

Japan Visitor Visa for Short-term Business Affairs:
Japan is an island nation in the Pacific Ocean with high-rise-filled cities, imperial palaces, mountainous national parks and thousands of shrines and temples. Tokyo, the crowded capital, is known for its neon skyscrapers and pop culture. In contrast, Kyoto offers Buddhist temples, Shinto shrines, gardens and cherry blossoms. Japan is a stratovolcanic archipelago of 6,852 islands. The four largest are Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku, which make up about ninety-seven percent of Japan’s land area. The country is divided into 47 prefectures in eight regions. The population of 126 million is the world’s tenth largest. Japanese people make up 98.5% of Japan’s total population. Approximately 9.1 million people live in the core city of Tokyo,[10] the capital city of Japan, which is the sixth largest city proper in the OECD and the fourth leading global city in the world.[11] The Greater Tokyo Area, which includes Tokyo and several surrounding prefectures, is the world’s largest metropolitan area with over 35 million residents and the world’s largest urban agglomeration economy.

Japan is a member of the UN, the G7, the G8, and the G20 and is considered a great power. The country has the world’s third-largest economy by nominal GDP and the world’s fourth-largest economy by purchasing power parity. It is also the world’s fourth-largest exporter and fourth-largest importer. Although Japan has officially renounced its right to declare war, it maintains a modern military with the world’s eighth largest military budget,[15] used for self-defense and peacekeeping roles. Japan is a developed country with a high standard of living and Human Development Index whose population enjoys the highest life expectancy, the third lowest infant mortality in the world,[16][17][18] and ranked first in the number of Nobel laureates of any country in Asia.[19] Japan is ranked first in the Country Brand Index,[20] ranked sixth in the Global Competitiveness Report 2015–2016 and is the highest-ranked Asian country in the Global Peace Index.[23] Japan was the first country in Asia to host both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

Japan Visit Visa Fee:

01. Flight and hotel booking USD 50 / PKR 7000.

02. Fees must be paid for the issuance of visas. The fees are about JPY 3,000 / PKR 3800 for a single-entry visa, JPY 6,000 / PKR 7600 for a double-entry or multiple-entry visa, and 700 yen for a transit visa. Fees are collected in the currency of the country (region) in which the Embassy / Consulate General is located.
Depending on the purpose of your visit and your nationality, fees may not be required or may be a different amount. If the visa is not issued, no fees are required. The processing fees are needed in addition to the visa issuance fees in case the visa application is made through an approved agency by the Embassy / Consulate General of Japan.

Japan Visit Visa Requirement / Check-list:
  • Letter of guarantee (as annex 01) with signed and sealed
  • Letter of reason for invitation (as annex 02) with signed and sealed (List of Visa Applicants)
  • Original schedule of your visit to Japan (as annex 03)
  • Original and fresh Kaisya Tohon (Company Registration) of sponsor’s company in Japan
  • OR copy of Kaisya Shikiho (if the company is registered with stock exchange)
  • Clear evidence of accommodation reserved in Japan for your stay with complete address
  • Original and authentic occupations evidence of your sponsor in Japan
  • Paste one photograph on application, with light background preferably white, front face and bare head, without any retouch or graphic affects
  • Original valid passport (expired passports too, if any)
  • Original identity card with photocopy
  • Attested bank statement for the last 6 months with bank manager’s letter
  • Original and authentic evidence of your present occupation issued by the applicant’s organization/institution/department
  • All Sectors confirmed both sides airline booking for the trip to Japan issued by travel agent, (please do not buy ticket.)
  • Official No Objection/ Ex-Pakistan leave certificate from concerned authorities in case of Govt. official/officer

Note:
  • The time to process an application for any kind of visas depends on the applicant’s circumstances.
  • Minimum processing time, it takes at least five (5) business days to a week, if the documentation is in order. There are some cases, however, in which over a few weeks or more are needed. It should be noted that the embassy does not issue any visas on the same day of application.
  • Visa application submission timing is 0900-1100 from Monday to Friday except public holidays.
  • Passports collection timing is 1430-1530 (During Ramazan:1330-1430) from Monday to Friday except public holidays.
  • Residents of Sindh & Baluchistan have to apply for Japanese visa at the Consulate General of Japan, Karachi.
