Italy remains major trading partner of the Pakistan and it is Pakistan’s third largest export destination within the European Union after UK and Germany. The Pakistan-Italy bilateral trade volume is currently around $1.5 billion 2014-15 on average.

Most of the Pakistani exports to Italy consist of textiles and clothing and leather apparel. Around 90 per cent of Pakistan’s exports to Italy are textile- and leather-related products and almost half of Italy’s exports to Pakistan fall in the category of machinery and equipment. Bilateral trade can naturally be improved with more exports of textiles from Pakistan and import of textile machinery from Italy as well as co-operation in other fields. Pakistan’s main items of export are cotton fabrics, woven made-up articles of textile materials, articles of apparel, chemicals, leather products and cotton yarn.

Major items of import from Italy include machinery and its parts, cereals and cereals preparations, medical and pharmaceutical products and wheat.

Purpose of Italy Business Exploration:
The purpose of this visa is to travel to Italy for business reasons. A Schengen visa only allows foreign nationals to visit Italy and the other Schengen countries for up to 90 days.

Please note that applicants will also be charged a service fee of Euro 30 per application (charged in local currency) which must be paid in cash when you attend the visa application centre.

The above mentioned fees are effective from 28 December 2018.
The visa and service fees are paid in Pakistan Rupees and are calculated using the Embassy of Italy’s consular exchange rate.
